Information for visitors

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit so that you know what to expect at our services.

Where and When

Our weekly Sunday morning services are held at Holy Trinity Church (details here) starting at 10:00am.
On your first visit we suggest arriving 10-15 minutes so our Welcomers have the opportunity to say 'Hello' and  ensure you find somewhere to sit before the service begins.

After the 10 am service refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are offered.
Staying after worship is a great way to chat with other members of the congregation and meet the vicar or another member of clergy team,  or simply have time to find your bearings.

Accessibility: There is easy access for wheelchair users and a sound system which is effective for modern hearing aids.

Please let a Welcomer know of particular needs on arrival.
There is a toilet accessible for a disabled person in the vestibule between the church and church hall.

Our 10 am service of Holy Communion (Eucharist) follows the C of E Common Worship format with music led by either our choir or worship band.
The 1st Sunday of each month is a non-Eucharistic service led by the worship band.
Our 10 am services are normally concluded between 11.15 am and 11.30 am

There is an 8 am service on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month for those who prefer a quieter form of worship.
St Mary's Church offers a quiet service of Holy Communion at 8 am on the other Sundays in the month.
The 8 am services at Holy Trinity Church normally conclude within 45 - 60 mins.
A breakfast is offered in the church hall after the 3rd Sunday 8 am service.

What about my children?

Our 10 am services are suitable for children with the 1st and 2nd Sundays being specifically All-Age.
A space in church is set aside for families and children with soft toys, books and quiet activities.

On the 4th Sunday of the month our Young Explorers (up to 10 years old) start in church and then go to the adjoining church hall for their own worship returning to the main service for Communion.

Holy Trinity Church has a long tradition of church music with both a robed choir and worship band.
The Worship Band leads music on 1st & 3rd Sundays, our Junior Choir on 2nd Sunday All-Age Communion service and the full choir on 4th Sundays.

When in church children stay in their family group - we know the importance of and encourage worshipping God together.

At Holy Trinity Church we rigorously apply the safeguarding policies and practices established by the Church of England for the protection of all young and vulnerable people.

Getting Connected

While attending services at Holy Trinity is a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings and groups that you can really get to know our community.

House Groups

Being part of one of our House Groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other.
We have a variety of House Groups that meet throughout the week, afternoons and evenings.

Check out our House Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a House Group Leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
