Church Cleaners and Flower Arrangers

Church Cleaners

Our beautiful church is kept looking lovely by 5 teams of volunteer cleaners. Each consists of 3 people so it’s easy to arrange cover if one is unavailable. Nobody is left to clean alone.
Each team cleans once a month taking usually about half an hour. At least one team meets for a coffee afterwards.
All equipment is provided and times are flexible. You receive an email reminder a week before your shift so that you can arrange a time that suits.
At Christmas the Cleaning teams help erect the Holy Trinity Sponsored Bauble Tree They read out the names on the baubles as they are added to the tree. After a blessing,
they enjoy a glass of sherry and seasonable nibbles.

Flower Arrangers

Flowers are used in churches and are integral to and aid the worship of God. They celebrate his creation, symbolize new life, and are used to mark the liturgical seasons.
Flowers bring the natural beauty of the earth into sacred spaces as a living offering.

Arranging and donating flowers is a personal gift of time, care, and human creativity offered to God.
.... engages the senses
Colour and scent enhance weekly worship, transforming the church environment into a place of beauty and gratitude.
We are a small friendly group of arrangers with differing skills. We provide flowers for our church weekly, and this is done via a roster. We aim to be as ecological as possible and we no longer use floral foam for our designs.
Our regular arrangements use vases and for the Pascal candle we use wire.
During festivals and special occasions, we aim to provide something a little grander and expressive.
We have some volunteer arrangers who join us just for special occasions..... it’s great to swell the ranks at these busy times.

Our Flower Arrangers do not need previous experience; just a willingness to take part and to learn.

Holy Trinity is a lively, welcoming and inclusive church serving God and our community in north central Horsham for over 125 years.

We hold a variety of worship services throughout each month, centred on our weekly 10am Sunday service.

Holy Trinity is open daily 8.30am-4pm for private prayer.

Whether you are new to Horsham, new to Christianity or just new to Holy Trinity…you are most welcome here.
