Support Holy Trinity Church

The Church of England today relies on the generosity of its members to fund its ministry and mission.
It receives no money from Government or the National Church.

Individuals give to their local church and that money is paid to the Diocese in what is known as the Parish Share.
In return the Diocese pays and houses our parish clergy and provides other services.

Regular attendees are encouraged to make donations by way of standing orders with their banks.
A member who is a tax payer can enhance their donation via the GiftAid scheme.
This adds an additional 25% to their donation.

Currently regular donations at Holy Trinity are insufficient to meet its contribution to the cost of the
Parish Share in Horsham Parish.
The shortfall is partly made up from funds raised through hire of the church hall and general fund raising.

Most churches need to raise funds to ensure buildings are adequately maintained including
the fabric and energy costs and to make improvements to enable the mission of the church to be developed
and the Good News of Jesus brought to more people.

Fundraising is therefore an essential activity for every church including Holy Trinity Church.

In recent years Holy Trinity has raised significant amounts of money to repair the church spire,
replace the church pews with more comfortable chairs, improve the sound system and develop an online ministry.
In the future the church organ will need to be refurbished, the lighting upgraded and the heating boilers replaced.

Our church hall is a community asset which is the venue for the Trinity Playgroup each weekday
and for other regular users who pay a hire fee.
Additional funds are raised by occasional hirers for meetings, family parties and quizzes.

The church is also a wonderful venue for concerts and similar cultural events.

We have a team of people who are constantly looking at new and innovative ways to raise additional funds
such as applying for grants etc.

Members of the congregation generously contribute to many of these projects
but support is always welcome from others outside the church. Some fund raising activities need individuals
with expertise and enthusiasm to find new sources of  funding.

If you have such ideas, skills and experience we would like to hear from you and discuss how you may be able to assist us.

If you would like to contribute to the work of Holy Trinity either by way of a one off or regular donation
